This is about 25 patched to .0.0.2 (and which i hope was a cumulative patch!) on win7. What i'm seeing is that comment syntax, such as * comment syntax. and command syntax, such as get file=whatwasitsname.sav display in the editor in two different fonts despite the fact that the font is monospace 10 per view --> fonts. The command syntax truly looks to be non-proportional but the comment syntax is absolutely a proportional font. My experience has been that even selecting text in the editor and then applying a font change, changes the whole file. However, here font changes do nothing for the described font display difference.
I understand the the book is closed on 25; life is now 26, which hasn't been provided yet.

Hi, Gene, I've addressed this problem in a post with the title "SPSS 25.0.0.1 Editor Font problem" on 2018-11-09. Jon Peck commented that this was a bug. Mario Giesel Munich, Germany

Hi Mario, As i was writing it, i was thinking that either i had seen a post about this before or that i had written a post about it. However, either way, i didn't recall Jon's comment or whether a patch had fixed the problem. Thanks for reminding me of the history
of the problem. Gene Maguin
