AMOS 21 Tutorial Example 3 - Error

I'm working through the AMOS 21 Tutorial (see IBM SPSS Amos 21 User's Guide). In Example 3 I'm unable to  open up Attg_old.txt. I get the attached error. I was able to work around it, but I'm puzzled by the error. I have no idea what caused the problem.

Any hints will be greatly appreciated.

Do you get this error only for this one file, or also for other files in Examples subfolder?

Raimundas, thank you for the question.

 

I’m not able to open a .txt file from the Examples subfolder. But, if I move the file to the Desktop I can open it without difficulty.  The properties read-only is checked and shared is not checked. I just cannot interpret the error message.

Hi!
I think you need to have administrator privileges to change files in the 'Program Files' folder. Usually I copy the samples Folder to My Documents and do the training work there and then delete them when ready. It is only about  17 MB files.
