Acknowledgement of SPSS in Writings

In my workplace, I provide support to individuals who are using SPSS. I want
to provide a guide for outputting frequencies and the t-test for a
particular dataset that we use. The guide will include images of Version 16
of SPSS. In a previous class on multivariate statistics, I noticed that the
instructor either put the abbreviation for trademark (TM) or registered name
(R) every time she wrote SPSS. Elsewhere, I have noticed that some
individuals cite the software by using either the style guide for the
American Psychological Association or the Chicago guide. I am aware of
several educational sites that do not include either the trademark symbols
or the reference. However, I feel that it must be requirement that
individuals who produce guides for using SPSS must provide some type of
acknowledgement of the company. Your guidance on this issue would be greatly
appreciated.
