Hi all,
I collected grass species composition data in two plots per season. The permanent plot is assumed not to be favoured by animals and it does not change with season, hence the second plot is assumed to be favoured in that particular season, for the next season we sampled another plot as led by concentration/distribution of animals in the area. I sampled 100 points per transect with two transects per plot. If for example in the first transect, the 100 points are composed of 10 spp A, 15, sppB, 5 spp C....it can be converted to frequencies.percentages..e.g 10 % for spp A etc. I want to compare whether there is any differences in species composition between the two plots, i.e the permanent plot vs favoured plot in summmer. Also do the same thing in winter (Permanent plot versus favoured plot in winter). I would want to conclude that maybe...animals favoured plots with more ssp A in winter, while in summer they favoured plots with spp F. I would like to be able to tell whether
species composition varies between permanent plost and favoured plots.
I was reading on multiresponse permutation procedures and some other ordination techniques, i don`t know which is the best one.
I would be grateful of any advise.
Regards
Bethwell
