Hello everyone,
I have two questions, hopefully which both are pretty basic.
1-Is it possible to set up rules such that the tree that is generated is
the simplest form of the tree. For instance, after setting the advanced
options in a CHAID generated tree, I can prune a large share of the tree
without affecting the risk. Are there options that I am missing that
will allow me to generate the simplest form of my tree?
2-How can I find information on what my settings should be for the
impurity measure in a C&RT tree? After reading the manual, I am even
more confused. One example makes it seem like there is a logical
calculation that you should use to set your level. I am just lost on
what this setting should be and how it relates to my data.
