If you do not get a response from someone who has their VAX up and
running in a few days let me know.
My VAX is in the basement and was working the last time I looked. I do
not have a tape Drive but IIRC I do have a CD drive. What media are your
files on?
Also, there is a VAX emulator for older windows. I ASSUME that there is
one for the various Unices and hope there is one for WINDOWS 7. I
expect to see someone this weekend who should know.
I know of someone I paid a few years ago to copy VAX Backup Magtapes to
disk files. At that time I copied them as VAX backup save sets to XP. I
still have not had time to see if there is a Windows 7 version of the
VAX emulator.
