Archetypal Analysis

vlad simion
Hi everybody,

Has anyone ever implement in SPSS some piece of code for "Archetypal
Analysis" from:
"Cutler, A & Breiman, L 1994, “Archetypal Analysis,” Technometrics,
vol. 36, no. 4, pp. 338-347".

Cheers,
Vlad

Re: Archetypal Analysis

Brandon Paris
Not in SPSS.  But, R has a package (archetype) that does this, which can probably be used in SPSS via the R-integration utility.

Thanks,

Brandon

Re: Policy of job postings

Albert-Jan Roskam
Hi William,

This question was asked back in 2007 [07/11/26, 11:49, Off topic Job listings] and most, but not all, people did not seem to be against it: http://listserv.uga.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S2=spssx-l&q=+Off+topic+Job+listings&s=&f=&a=&b=

I'm still totally okay with it. I would be very grateful, though, if you could help me with the tons of money/lottery/gold dust/medicine emails. ;-)

Cheers!!
Albert-Jan

Re: Policy of job postings

statisticsdoc
Job postings are very common and widely accepted on many statiistical listservs, such as the ones for Hierarchical Linear Modeling or Structural Equation Modeling. I think many members of the SPSS list would welcome them.
Best wishes for filling the post.
