I've just find this list, and already read a lot of interesting and useful tips from you.
I've started to make some scripts which would make my (and my colleagues) everyday tasks easier, but as I'm quiet new to the script language, I got stucked at the very beginning.
I want to make a script which creates standardized Custom tables using the variables selected by the user.
I think the best would be if I could store the input data in an excel file. Column A: header variables, Column B: row variables, then open the excel file from SPSS script and read variables from column A into an array, then from column B into a second array.
Is this possible?
I would appreciate any suggestion, idea.
