Is there any way to set the autocomplete highlight colour?
My preferred colour setting for syntax commands is matched by the highlight bar in the autocomplete dialog. There does not appear to be an choice on the options menu. TIA ====================To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. To leave the list, send the command SIGNOFF SPSSX-L For a list of commands to manage subscriptions, send the command INFO REFCARD |

No, the color coding for the autocomplete dropdowns was purposefully tied to the syntax color coding. This was done in order to help make the context clear, since some commands have keywords and parameters that are the same. Without the autocomplete color coding being tied to the syntax color coding, you could have dropdown lists with the same term listed twice with nothing to differentiate it. This was deemed undesirable.

David:
What is your recommended colour for Command text to maximize readability in the autocomplete dialog? --jim -----Original Message----- From: SPSSX(r) Discussion [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of SPSS Support Sent: Tuesday, January 20, 2009 4:39 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: Autocomplete highlight and background No, the color coding for the autocomplete dropdowns was purposefully tied to the syntax color coding. Jim,
I don't have major objections to the defaults (blue for commands, green for subcommands, maroon for keywords and orange for recognized keyword values), but this is the kind of preference that can vary a great deal by individual, which is why we went to the trouble of allowing the user to change them.
