Hello:
Im a Statistician researching employment selection tests online. I'm
looking specifically at the use of "Biographical" data an employer collects
through a survey about potential job candidates.
There are a good number of sources out there that describe the types
of questions asked :Some "Soft Skills" questions that are more Personality
based and more "Hard Skills" that are verifiable. There is also mounds of
research that talk about the predictive validity of Biodata and how it
improves the selection process.
However, it has been hard trying to find specific examples or
templates of Biographical surveys.
I know it depends on the nature of the position (Customer Service,
Sales, Higher level,etc) But:
Are questions about Employment Status: (Unemployed /Employed),
Number of Jobs held previously. Length of employment, etc good places to start?
Are there any I/O Psychologists out there that could provide White Papers or
Slides with information on this topic it would be much appreciated,
Thanks
