Blanking out variable name when highligting in SPSS 15.

Staffan Lindberg
Dear list!

I just got SPSS 15 and have installed patch 15.0.1 and one thing puzzles me.
When I highlight a column the variable name is blanked out. When I move to
another column the variable name is visible again. Anyone else have this
experience?

Melissa Ives
Do you mean in output or in the data?

We aren't using 15 yet (although we have it) because the variable list
button doesn't go to the variable as you type the name--a feature we
depend on since we have >3000 variables and use syntax.

SV: [SPSSX-L] Blanking out variable name when highligting in SPSS 15.

Staffan Lindberg
It's in the data editor. Also the grid icon that takes you back to the data
editor is missing the grids, All other icons are OK. Probably it has
something to do with my PC. I have not seen any other in the list complain
about it.

Peck, Jon
This sounds like a color depth or screen resolution problem.  Do you have an unusual color scheme or unusual display settings?
