Hi all,
I am trying to get some bootstrap results for ANOVA (specifically for the Partial Eta Squared statistic) in SPSS 19. I selected the Bootstrap option. SPSS loops through the defined bootstrap samples, but the output shows no bootstrap results. All I got was a regular ANOVA table. Does anybody know how to get the bootstrap statistics for ANOVA? Thanks in advance João |

Hi João,
Assuming you're using the GLM procedure, I don't see support for the Partial Eta Squared statistic in bootstrapping; see http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/spssstat/v20r0m0/topic/com.ibm.spss.statistics.help/bootstrap_analysis.htm and scroll down to GLM Univariate. Hi Alex, Thank you for your reply. Yes, you’re right. It doesn’t seem possible to get regular ANOVA statistics (F, eta, …) bootstrapped, only descriptives and post-hocs can be obtained with bootstrap (wondering what would be the propose of a bootstrap in GLM if not even the F statistic can be obtained with bootstrap) Best, João From: Alex Reutter [via SPSSX Discussion] [mailto:[hidden email]] Hi João,
