Hi all,
I encountered a problem with my SPSS data (PASW 18, Mac OS X), as it
seems to overwrite files. It happened twice to me now (and as I am
currently preparing a conference presentation, this is VERY annoying).
I had opened one file and performed an operation I had written in a
syntax file. When I opened another file to perform the same syntax on,
I got the same results, so I thought I might have used the wrong file
and opened the first one again. I found out that the first file had
been overwritten by the second. I think this is a serious bug which
should be remedied as soon as possible.
In addition, the Mac version seems to be buggy in other respects as
well:
* The shortcuts from the EDIT menu don't work.
* It doesn't always seem to recognize the user-defined missing values
(and I was wondering about my zero correlations between teacher
estimates of children's cognitive abilities and actual intelligence ...)
It would be great if these issues could be avoided in the versions to
come (in addition to the regression line issue, which is almost
impossible to find).
Thanks
Tanja
