CT vs. GT

Samir Omerovic
Dear all,

I have an issue that concerns general and custom tables. For some reason I got different results
trying to make the same table in general and custom tables.

First I defined the multiple:

* Define Multiple Response Sets.

MRSETS

  /MCGROUP NAME=$p01all LABEL='Brand Awareness' VARIABLES=P01a1 P01a2 P01a3

  P01a4 P01a5 P01a6 P01a7 P01a8 P01a9 P01a10 P01a11 P01a12 P01a13 P01a14

  P01a15 P01a16 P01a17 P01a18 P01a19 P01a20 P01a21 P01a22 P01a23 P01a25 P01a26

  P01a27 P01a28 P01a40 P01a41 P01a42 P01a97 P01a98 P01b1 P01b2 P01b3 P01b4

  P01b5 P01b6 P01b7 P01b8 P01b9 P01b10 P01b11 P01b12 P01b13 P01b14 P01b15

  P01b16 P01b17 P01b18 P01b19 P01b20 P01b21 P01b22 P01b23 P01b25 P01b26 P01b27

  P01b28 P01b40 P01b41 P01b42 P01c1 P01c2 P01c3 P01c4 P01c5 P01c6 P01c7 P01c8

  P01c9 P01c10 P01c11 P01c12 P01c13 P01c14 P01c15 P01c16 P01c17 P01c18 P01c19

  P01c20 P01c21 P01c22 P01c23 P01c25 P01c26 P01c27 P01c28 P01c40 P01c41 P01c42

  /DISPLAY NAME=[$p01all].

For general tables I have used the following syntax:

* General Tables.

TABLES

  /FORMAT BLANK MISSING('.')  /MRGROUP  $p01all 'Brand Awareness'  P01a1 P01a2 P01a3

  P01a4 P01a5 P01a6 P01a7 P01a8 P01a9 P01a10 P01a11 P01a12 P01a13 P01a14

  P01a15 P01a16 P01a17 P01a18 P01a19 P01a20 P01a21 P01a22 P01a23 P01a25 P01a26

  P01a27 P01a28 P01a40 P01a41 P01a42 P01a97 P01a98 P01b1 P01b2 P01b3 P01b4

  P01b5 P01b6 P01b7 P01b8 P01b9 P01b10 P01b11 P01b12 P01b13 P01b14 P01b15

  P01b16 P01b17 P01b18 P01b19 P01b20 P01b21 P01b22 P01b23 P01b25 P01b26 P01b27

  P01b28 P01b40 P01b41 P01b42 P01c1 P01c2 P01c3 P01c4 P01c5 P01c6 P01c7 P01c8

  P01c9 P01c10 P01c11 P01c12 P01c13 P01c14 P01c15 P01c16 P01c17 P01c18 P01c19

  P01c20 P01c21 P01c22 P01c23 P01c25 P01c26 P01c27 P01c28 P01c40 P01c41 P01c42

  /GBASE=CASES

  /TABLE=$p01all  BY wave

  /STATISTICS

  count( wave( F5.0 )).

For custom tables I have used the following:

* Custom Tables.

CTABLES

  /VLABELS VARIABLES=wave $p01all DISPLAY=DEFAULT

  /TABLE $p01all [COUNT F40.0] BY wave

  /CATEGORIES VARIABLES=wave $p01all ORDER=A KEY=VALUE EMPTY=INCLUDE.

The results are not weighted. I figure out that the problem may be in the Multiple response sets
(maybe I missed some option in CTables or GTables, or these two calculate multiple answers
differently) but I still have not figure out how to fix it. Is the problem maybe in the syntax, or
somewhere else? I get different results for some categories of 'wave' variable.

Thanks for the help

Samir
