Calculating dates

Hello All,
I have a list of dates and I'd like to create a new variable dating two
months back (i.e. a new date that will be: date-2 months).
Any advice would be appreciated!

How are you defining "2 months"?  Given that not all months have the same number of days, you can't just subtract 2 from the month number (and adjust if the difference is negative).  If you are defining 2 months as 60 days, something like this should work:

compute date2 = (date1 - 60*24*60*60).
format date2(date11).
exe.


The 60*24*60*60 is 60 days * 24 hours * 60 minutes * 60 seconds.

Has anyone developed modules for R which will allow for geo statistical
analysis from spss or PAWS to be correct
