Can one influence the output format for Case Summaries

I want to pad the blank cells in Case Summary output.
An example possible best way to explain.

Summarizing sales by category and retail site.
Output something like -

Category       RetailSite   Sales_Sum
Beverages          1                 1234
                           2                  2345
                           3                  3456
Confectionery     1                  4567
                            2                 5678  
                            3                 7890
Note that the categories are not repeated for each line.
I want to take the results of the Case Summaries into Excel and then to MySQL as a table.
So I need the category column to be padded with data.
Any suggestions how this can be achieved?

Write results to an external file does it.
