Without seeing the actual syntax generated, I suspect that your problem is
in the GUIDE label functions. You need to use concat to quote the label argument in the same way that you do it for the argument to the name function in the DATA statements. A macro generates apostrophes while GPL requires quotation marks. Yet another reason to use Python rather than a macro;-) -----Original Message----- From: SPSSX(r) Discussion [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Xenia Sent: Thursday, February 05, 2009 8:19 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Can't use GPL within Macro The original code is: " !DO !TargetinAQUAScore !IN (!TargetinAQUAScores) DESCRIPTIVES VARIABLES=!TargetinAQUAScore /STATISTICS=ALL. * Heat Map Binning Scores ------------------------------------------------- -----------------. compute !concat("BIN_",!TargetinAQUAScore)=0. if (Missing(!TargetinAQUAScore )) !concat("BIN_",!TargetinAQUAScore)=0. if (!FinalResult="Fail") !concat("BIN_",!TargetinAQUAScore)=0. if (!TargetinAQUAScore >=0 and !TargetinAQUAScore <=256) !concat("BIN_",!
