Cannot apply update from version 18.0.0 to 18.0.2

I have installed PASW 18.0.0 on a computer running under Windows 7 64-bit. Although the program appears to work, I cannot apply the update to version 18.0.2: When I try to do so the update program issues an error message that tells me that it could not find an installation to update; then it terminates.

My installation of PASW 18.0.0 is in directory "C:\Program Files\SPSS18". Could it be that the update program requires PASW 18 to be installed in the default directory?

... solved: I had been trying to update the 64-bit version of SPSS 18 using the 32-bit patch. Should have taken a more careful look at the file name ... awkward ...
