Change the Y-Axis intervals For Scatterplots?

Simon Kiss-2
I have a terribly simple question. EAch time I do a scatterplot with a
set of data, the y-axis intervals are not evenly spaced, but reflect
the exact value of each data point. As a result each scatterplot is
showing a perfect one-to-one correlation. What am I doing wrong?

Sample data and syntax would help to diagnose your problem.

Simon,
Check the measurement scale of your Y-axis variable in the Variable View. I suspect that it is either Ordinal or Nominal. If so, change it to Scale and you should see the Y-axis treated as an interval scale. Measurement scale in the file dictionary does make a difference when building graphs with the Chart Builder. The Graphs->Legacy Dialogs scatterplot will treat a numeric variable as an interval variable on either axis.
