(Windows questions) SPSS/PASW 'associates' itself with several file
extensions (at least .sps, .sav, .spo, .spv); that is, when you open such a file, it's sent to SPSS. If you have several SPSS versions, these files are associated with one of them -- I think, usually the last one you installed. What's the easiest way to change which version gets the files? ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. dear List,
When I start a syntax file in SPSS15 the syntax editor always opens in Ariel font which I find annoying. I'd like it to open in courier and of course I can change to this style using the menu bar. However, I'd like to get the syntax editor to defualt to Courier font on opening. How can this be done? If you set the Syntax Editor font using the View>Fonts menu, it should preserve that setting for future sessions. The setting is saved in the Windows Registry in the key

Hi
Peck, Jon wrot: > If you set the Syntax Editor font using the View>Fonts menu, it should preserve that setting for future sessions. The setting is saved in the Windows Registry in the key > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SPSS\SPSS for Windows\15.0\Syntax\Font > It works for me, at home (with my computer, which I run with administrator rights), but, for instance, not at my University, where students don't run the computers with administrator rights, but with very heavy security restrictions (the can't access windows folder, for instance). Any modification the do to the program settings (from "set printback=off" to font modification in syntax windows), is temporary, and it is lost once the computer is shut down. Just in case it might be of help. Marta > -----Original Message----- > From: SPSSX(r) Discussion [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Gerard M.
