Chi-Square Association Test

Suzanne Rebecca Neusteter
Hi,
I have a DV that is dichotomous and an IV that is continuous (age).
Can anyone recommend which strength of association test I would run
for a chi-square of these two variables?
Thanks,
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne

If the DV is dichotomous, then use binary logistic regression. The OR
("exp(b)") with its 95%CI will give you the strength of association. Be
sure to check the Hosmer-Lemeshow test to verify the goodness of fit to
the model.
