Hi Folks,
I don't know why I'm having so much trouble with this, but I am. I'm using
SPSS v113, which uses Sax for its scripting.
I've got a DialogBox containing a ComboBox called "EditLabel" of my data
file's variable labels. Plus, I've got 3 Buttons called "Change", "Done",
and "Cancel". Cancel is obvious, no problem with that one.
All I want to do, is to be able to click on a variable label in the list of
the combobox, edit the label in the textbox of the combobox, then click on
"Change" button. At that point, the label in the list should change to the
edited label.
When I'm done, I want to click on the "Done" button and write the list back
out to the data file's variable labels. The "Done" button works just fine,
too. No problem there.
My problem is getting the "Change" to occur. It's just not happening. In VB,
comboboxes have a .Text property, but Sax's combobox doesn't seem to have
any properties or methods at all, unless I'm just not finding it.
Documentation for Sax is thin on the ground. Can someone help? Thank you
very much.
