Computing and plotting Bayes estimates in SPSS?

gvo

Dear listmembers,

Is there a way to compute and plot emperical Bayes estimates in SPSS? It seems to be possible via R but I’m not familiar with R but perhaps there is a way to do it using R in syntax.

Any advice would greatly appreciated!

Can you give an example of what you want to do? You can of course call R code from SPSS, but there may be a simple way to do what you want directly in SPSS, either through direct computation or through a regression procedure like MIXED.
