BODY { font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px; } Hello everyone. I have tried to locate this information through the help menu in SPSS. However to no avail. Here is my problem: I am entering variable lables and values. Example G1T1SBC01, G1T1SBC02......However when I tried to copy and paste the common aspects of the lable (ie: G1T1SBC) so I can add the item number SPSS tells me that I "already have a variable called that and inserts VAR000001. Is there a way to copy and paste the labe and response values of the variable. I am just trying to save time at this point. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Sure, do that editing (creating the variable names) in either an editor or Excel first and then paste all the variables in the variable view of SPSS. I do that all the time.
Good luck. --- On Sun, 10/12/08, C Mazzotta <[hidden email]> wrote: > From: C Mazzotta <[hidden email]> > Subject: Copy and pasting variable lables and values > To: [hidden email] > Date: Sunday, October 12, 2008, 12:13 PM > BODY { font-family:Arial, Helvetica, > sans-serif;font-size:12px; } > Hello everyone. > > I have tried to locate this information through the > help menu in > SPSS. The most efficient way to do this is to use Apply Dictionary (or Data>Copy Data Properties on the menus). You can select the variable and file properties to copy and the from and to variables.
You can also copy cells from Variable View in the Data Editor, A third possibility is to use Data>Define Variable Properties to copy a set of properties to many variables.
