Could not copy and analyze data from data view (SPSS 16)

I am not able to copy data from data view of my spss 16 file. There is also problem in analysis. After 654 cases, '?' is showing instead of data which i entered there. I have uploaded my spss file herewith.

No problem here (SPSS 11.5, English locale).
684 cases:
Last one (copy/pasted from data view).

I think you will need to be much  more specific.  
Having the file is useful but only if there are step by step clues on how to replicate your issues

Actually i am trying to copy data of this SPSS file to another SPSS file having same variables (or say i want to merge two files) for the analysis purpose of data. I entered more than 1000 cases in this uploaded file but now only 684 cases is shown and rest are shown as '?' . Upon moving below 684 cases, SPSS is showing an error message-
"An unknown error occurred processing DataSetMsg:class CIGetDataMsg"

Edit tab of SPSS is not showing copy, paste and cut option.

Please suggest me something to get rid of this problem.

I can only open the file (uploaded earlier) but could not do any thing on this file (like copy, cut or paste of data, analyse data or merge other files having same variables).
