As you probably know, Amazon algorithmic pricing sometimes goes nuts. At this moment, the book SPSS Statistics for Data Analysis and Visualization by McCormick and Salcedo with contributions from myself and Andrew Wheeler can be had in the Kindle edition for $1.99! The paperback is $30.45. Taking a quick look at the Kindle version, a few tables are mangled, but the images all seem to be legible. Here is the link. From the description on Amazon: SPSS Statistics for Data Analysis and Visualization goes beyond the basics of SPSS Statistics to show you advanced techniques that exploit the full capabilities of SPSS. The authors explain when and why to use each technique, and then walk you through the execution with a pragmatic, nuts and bolts example. Coverage includes extensive, in-depth discussion of advanced statistical techniques, data visualization, predictive analytics, and SPSS programming, including automation and integration with other languages like R and Python. You'll learn the best methods to power through an analysis, with more efficient, elegant, and accurate code. The SPSS for Dummies book is also available for a dumb price here. |
Finally a comprehensive book on SPSS. Thanks Jon. Are numerical data for examples of the book available on CD or online? Max. From: Jon Peck [via SPSSX Discussion] [mailto:ml+[hidden email]]

Yes there are datasets on the Wiley website to follow along with, http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-1119003555.html.
My chapter actually looks better online, since the maps have color. As an FYI I don't make any additional commission from more sales. None of us really know how Amazon chooses the prices, so we just wanted to let people know to take advantage of the price while it lasts. (I wouldn't presume it will stay that low for very long.) |
