Custom tables: variable order

Rajeshms
Hi all,

In custom tables if i generate tables with string data on my row and some  scale data on column, I will get it by ASCENDING order of the string data . But I want it as it is , I don want it to be ASCENDING / DESCENDING order , kindly help me if we can get it by default view.

thanks

What do you mean by "as it is"?  There is no such thing except for case order.  If you want to list cases, Ctables isn't the right tool.  Use Summarize or Report or the LIST command for that.

Hi,

"As it is", I mean that how the data are there in the SPSS data editor. I tried a lot and I have used  report option only. So If we generate a table with string data and scale data,we get the table generated by ascending/descending order ,but not as it is in the data view. hmmmmmmmm.

thanks,,,

There is no "report" option in Ctables.  To repeat, use a procedure that does case listings such as SUMMARIZE or LIST.
