Data used in other datasets?

Robert L
Is there any way to use data from one dataset in another dataset? More specifically, I managed to use OMS to set up a simple table as a summary of data in one dataset. The table cells could be used as weights in calculations in another dataset. I have looked through the OMS documentation, but I couldn't find any hints which were clear enough. But there could also be a general way to do this with no connection to OMS at all. Any suggestions?
