Suggestion for implementation of a new date
format!
The standard date format in Scandinavian
(and many other European countries) is yyymmdd or yymmdd. Why are this not
defined in SPSS, that has so many other date formats? I think it would be a good
idea to implement this as soon as possible have a lot of time variables,
defined as numerical variables (i.e. 19920305,20040617). This is the most
common date format in Scandinavian countries (as an alternative yymmdd). How do
I convert this into a SPSS date format, thus permitting me to use different
date functions (datediff etc.)?
