Delete Item from Main Toolbar

Sure this has been discussed but can't find topic

There is an item on the main Tool Bar (File  Edit  View   Data    ....) that
want removed, how is this done?

Do you mean the toolbar or the menu bar?  You can add and remove toolbar items via View > Toolbars > Customize
