Hello Discussion Board Members,
I need to delete about 1500 cases (from about 300k). I have an identifying variable for the values I need to delete. For example, I need to delete cases# 101, 1402, 1803, etc. My list of what needs to be removed is currently in Excel. Any tricks for writing an incredibly long SELECT IF? Many thanks in advance! Create an SPSS data file of the cases you wish to delete. Use match files
with the IN feature for your files of cases to be deleted, and then select if not in the file of cases to be deleted. -----Original Message----- From: SPSSX(r) Discussion [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of The Burl Sent: October-09-14 3:35 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: Deleting many cases Hello Discussion Board Members, I need to delete about 1500 cases (from about 300k).
