Determining the Comparability of Data Sets

Dear All:
 
I need help with how to ascertain the comparability of three survey data sets collected at two years interval-- 2003, 2005, and 2007. All three data sets were collected from the same target population on the same topics and similar variables. Is there SPSS command syntax to determine or asertain comparability? I am intending to use the data sets in regression models comparing significant changes in key variables over the years.
