Does it make sense to cite p rep?

Pirritano, Matthew
Hello all,

A colleague of mine has asked me to look into how to calculate p rep
(the probability of replication) for inclusion in a submission to
Psychological Science.

While the editor of Psych Science seems to encourage the use of p rep my
reading of the statistics detractors leaves me less than convinced that
this statistic is really necessary or even helpful for readers and
researchers.

Does anyone on the list have an opinion about this?

Thanks,
Matt
