Don't want commas in my data view.

janetB

I had to do a re-install recently (SPSS22) and now my numeric variables are displaying with commas.

The number is still there, however this glitch makes visual comparisons with other numeric variables challenging.

How do I fix this?

Thanks!

For plain numeric variables, the decimal symbol shown in the Data Editor comes from your operating system locale.  If you are in a comma-decimal locale, you can set your  locale to US English - and  hence have a period as the decimal symbol by executing
SET LOCALE = english.
