ERROR 5274 - 13.0 Grad Pack

Error #5274. Command name: GET SAS

An attempt has been made to get a file which contains more variables or

cases than are permitted in the restricted version of the system.

This command not executed.

Please can someone help me figure this message out? I have version 13.0
Grad Pack and am trying to view the data. Can anyone help me with this? I
tried to install the 13.0 patch and it would not let me. Thanks in advance.

Hi Yolanda,

does Grad Pack mean that it is a Student Version? I am not sure how it is
today, but I remember that the Studen Version I used a couple of years ago
was restricted, i.e. it allowed only a certain number of cases or variable
to be calculated. There should be some remarks in the manual about that.
You might need to install the Full Version.

The Student Version is restricted to data sources with a maximum of 50 variables and 1,500 cases. But the Student Version and the Grad Pack are not the same thing, and I don't know what restrictions there are on the Grad Pack.

Clearly Grad Pack Yolanda is using is also limited by the number of variables. According to http://www.studentdiscounts.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=14273 version 16 of the Grad Pack has no such limitation.

As a potential solution, would it be possible for the original creator of the dataset to split it by variables into sizes that would fit within Yolanda's version (or simply save only those variables she plans to use)? Then she could select (subset to) the variables desired and remerge as needed. It would be good practice for merging datasets.

Just to clarify, Grad Pack (including v13) has no variable or case limits. The Student Version does have variable and case limits.
