Hi,
I have conducted a multiple mediation analysis with Preacher and Hayes macro. I would like to compute effect size of this mediation but I don't know how to proceed. I have seen over the Internet that MBESS for R would allow me to get effect size but I don't know how to use it. Is there an "easy" way to compute effect size for a multiple mediation? Many thanks in advance for your help... Best, Marie |
I did a tiny search after reading your post because mediation effect size is something I have not had to consider. If you have access to academic resources, I encourage you do a better search than I did and do some background reading because the tiny bit I read suggests to me that there is controversy about how best to compute effect sizes for your problem. A specific reference point is Wen and Fan, 2015, Psychological Methods, 20(2), 193-203.

Hayes provides six different effect sizes in his book, "Introduction to Mediation, Moderation, and Conditional Process Analysis." I suggest you consider reviewing them. Can't most if not all mediation models be estimated with SEM programs?
Amos, LISREL, EQS, MPlus etc? Why be dealing with a messy macro (or R)?
