Error Pane

Sam Ballard
Dear List,

Does anyone know how to turn off the error pane or to set it to where it
doesn't take up a third of the screen when a syntax file is opened? I've
unchecked show error tracking pane box under options and turned off the
error pane under view on the toolbar, but it still comes back
sporadically. This pane is a pain.
