Error message for missing values / multiple imputation

ascarch
Hi,

I randomly split my data into 3 groups and deleted parts of data for some
variables depending on the groups. I then used multiple imputation to impute
the values I just deleted, in order to see if the results measure the same
against statistical tests. When I ran the imputation, it gave the following
error:

The imputation model for r022q1C contains more than 100 parameters. No
missing values will be imputed. Reducing the number of effects in the
imputation model, by merging sparse categories of categorical variables,
changing the measurement level of ordinal variables to scale, removing two-
way interactions, or specifying constraints on the roles of some variables,
may resolve the problem. Alternatively increase the maximum number of
parameters allowed on the MAXMODELPARAM keyword of the IMPUTE subcommand.

It seems like certain variables cause this problem. I used variables as
predictors only if I did not delete values for those variables.

Thanks!
