I was working on the same excel file for long time,but now i am getting this error. but I can open other excel files. Error

Rajesh…this is an SPSS list, not an Excel list, so I’m not sure what you expect to learn about Excel here...but in the spirit of a shot in the dark… It looks like your computer is having java issues which impact excel. I suspect it may be an issue of trying to open an Excel file in TAFKASPSS ;-)
I have heard of this message but can't remember the resolution. Search the list archives or the IBM support logs. --

Hi Melissa, I know this is an SPSS list. I was importing one excel file repeatedly for my work procedure, and after some time it was showing the above error message when importing it into SPSS. I was not asking wrt to learning excel.anyways I got the poblem solved. the excel file was corrupt,so I was unable to import it into SPSS.
