First 24 problem (but maybe a word 2016 problem)

Do you mean that you selected the log block in the Viewer and copied it?  I did that with your exact syntax in V24 and pasted into Word with no problem.

If the paste works correctly with Notepad, I don't see how this could be an SPSS problem.  You might experiment with Paste Special in Word to see if it is picking up an unexpected format, since typically text is placed on the clipboard in multiple formats.  I do think that there is a clue in that the text is truncated at "<", which has a special meaning in HTML, although that ought not to be relevant here.

If I export the text as  html, I see all of it in the generated html file.

I'm using Office 2016 BTW.  My V24 has IF001 applied, but I would be surprised if that mattered.

I take it back.  I was using V23.  I see the problem with V24, but not in other target apps.  If you use Paste Special in Word with Unformatted Text as the choice, it works.
