This is the first time in years that this list has had a true flame
war I'm grateful that it hasn't happened before, but not glad that
it's happening now.
Inappropriate remarks are inappropriate remarks. But I encourage list
members to think carefully before responding to them. Especially,
consider carefully before any ill-tempered response, however
deserved, to a remark that seemed ill-tempered originally.
