Follow-up pairwise test for Kruskal-Wallis in SPSS

Ranjana Dutta
This may sound a silly inquiry, but in V 20 of SPSS, are the provided "test statistics" in the modeler, Mann-Whitney tests of two groups? or something else??? If something else, how are they to be reported?? I can't seem to find any documentation of what SPSS is using as the Test Statistic.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
