Formats (F2, A24, ...) documentation

In the syntax ref I found often the formats "F...", "A...", etc. But
there is no documentation about it. Where is the documentation? What
formats are available?

You are right. I just overflight it. A lot of useless text on a lot of
sites covering the essence of the usefull information. ;)
This 2000-sites are not a (short) reference, it is a bible. I promise I
will learn to deal with it.

btw: I found out that SPSS does offer a time-format, too. Great. ;)

Sorry, for wasting your time and the resources of the list. SPSS and
its resources are quite different from other projects I used before. So
I have to change my way of thinking and handling problems here.
