Frequencies Across Many Variables

Ben Cohen
I have 14 variables each coded with up to three of the same 13 values. I
would like to transform my data such that I obtain a frequency
distribution of the 13 values for the 14 variables.

My data look like this:
v1a v1b v1c v2a v2b v2c ... v14a v14b v14c
3    4   .   1   12  .       2    7    10
3    .   .   8   11  .       5    .    .

I'd like to report on the frequency of each of the 13 values for the 14
variables. For example, v1 has two instances of code 3 and one instance of
code 4, while v14 has one instance each of 2, 5, 7, and 10. I'd like to
display the results in a crosstabulation or CTable.

How can this be done?

Many thanks!

Re: Frequencies Across Many Variables

This is the same question I responded to yesterday.

With respect to CTABLES, first define your multiple response group set via
Analyze>Tables>Multiple Response Sets. Then within CTABLES, drag the
variable to the position you want.
