Fw: Error in Help for CORRELATIONS command

SPSS Support-2

Hi Bruce,
  As your experience indicated, the syntax chart is correct. The default missing option for CORRELATIONS is PAIRWISE. The Help screen for this topic is fixed in version 18.0.

The Version 17 (for Windoze) Help file entry for the /MISSING sub-command of
CORRELATIONS says:

• The PAIRWISE and LISTWISE keywords are alternatives; however, each can be
specified with INCLUDE or EXCLUDE.

• The default is LISTWISE and EXCLUDE.

But the syntax chart says the default is PAIRWISE, not LISTWISE.

CORRELATIONS VARIABLES= varlist [WITH varlist] [/varlist...]
[/MISSING={PAIRWISE**}  [{INCLUDE}]]
          {LISTWISE  }   {EXCLUDE}
[/PRINT={TWOTAIL**}  {SIG**}]
        {ONETAIL  }  {NOSIG}
[/MATRIX=OUT({*                  })]
             {'savfile'|'dataset'}
[/STATISTICS=[DESCRIPTIVES] [XPROD] [ALL]]

**Default if the subcommand is omitted.

Empirical observation tells me the syntax chart is correct--the default is
PAIRWISE.
