Either or both of these openings in the US Court system might be of
interest to some people in the SPSS community.
I had to remove the attachments, but the details are on the website mentioned in the original post. Art Kendall -------- Original Message --------
The Research Division of the Federal Judicial Center just announced openings for two Research Associate positions. One is aimed at a social scientist or attorney with a research background. The other is targeted for a computer or information management professional who has experience with programming and managing large statistical databases. I've attached both position announcements to this message in case you know anyone who might be interested in applying for one (or both) of the positions. Feel free to distribute these announcements as widely as you want. We don't always get the opportunity to announce our positions outside the government, so when we can we like to get the information out to the best people available. The Federal Judicial Center is part of the U.S. Courts. The positions are not civil service positions, so a previous civil service rating is not necessary, but they are full federal government positions with all the normal federal employee benefits. The starting salary is about $80K. You can find out more about the Center at our website http://www.fjc.gov/ (select "General Information about the FJC"). The employment opportunities at the Center (including these two positions) can be found at http://www.fjc.gov/public/home.nsf/autoframe?openform&url_r=/public/fjchr.nsf/ByPageNumber/1 . If you have any questions, please give me a call. Thanks, Pat [HAD TO REMOVE ATTACHMENTS SO THE MESSAGE COULD GO TO SPSSX-L. The positions are described at the link above.
