GEE with ordinal independent variable?

Thorgal
Does anybody know whether I have to build dummy variables for ordinal independent variables when running a GEE?

Thx,
Nicolas

Re: GEE with ordinal independent variable?

Reutter, Alex
You can select an ordinal independent variable as a factor in the model without doing any dummy coding in advance.  Note that ordinal factors are handled in the same way as nominal factors.
