Hello all,
I'm a current student of SPSS and have been subscribed to the list for a couple of weeks. I'm learning SPSS in a graduate course as well as working with it at my externship site. Our Professor recommended this list and I just wanted to get a better idea of what types of questions can be fielded here. I'm a little intimidated because there are over 2000 members and to be honest some of threads are currently WAY over my head. So I'd like to get some ground rules in order to make the most out of the Listserve but not waste peoples time. So here are my questions: What are the ground rules (or expected list-serve etiquette) ? Is this list just for syntax or can I ask general SPSS questions (after I search the archives for my answer of course) ? If I'm having trouble with which analysis to use for a data set based on a particular research design can that be posted here? Thank you so much for your time and any input you can provide. Respectfully, Justin Blehar [hidden email] Aspiring SPSS user P.S. If I've already broken some type of basic etiquette rules my apologies! |
If you’re new to SPSS, the list covers everything from beginners to advanced, but we don’t do students’ assignments for them. You will find plenty of SPSS tutorials on my website, plus links to dozens of other useful on-line SPSS resources.
