I'm running into a perculiar error with the GetNextPivot routine in an
SPSS script. Everything works fine until the "Set objPivot =
objItem.ActivateTable()" line. Sometimes the code works fine, but
sometimes it does not. I'm not getting an error message, but I am getting
a warning "ding."
After the error I find that Windows has lost the menu functions. I
cannot, for example, go to file -> save. Closing one of the SPSS windows
or waiting several minutes resolves the problem.
I have tried switching the editor to edit each table in its own window.
If I do that I start getting errors about the link to the pivot table
having been broken.
Has anyone else seen this before? And if you have, what is the solution?
