Hello,
I would need some help. Is there anyone else out there who have problems using old Scripts in SPSS 16/17? Or, even better, someone who used to use GetObject(,"SPSS.Application") and noted that this does not work in SPSS 16/17? I'm currently in a dialog with SPSS Sweden on this and would like to come in contact with someone who either solved the problem or have the same problem. As documented, the application name changed in version 16 in order to modernize the COM support. You need to use "spss.application16" (for both 16 and 17) in place of spss.application.
GetObject is not available for version 16, but it is available for 17. For 16, you have to use CreateObject. Hi Jon.
I know it is SPSS.Application16 my mistake in my earlier e-mail; but still GetObject only works if you first add the Reference local (COM), not in general. This is the problem. Do you know any solution for this?
